FAQs

Is this the same as taking magnesium pills?
No — topical magnesium is absorbed transdermally through the skin, bypassing the digestive system. Many customers find this gentler than oral magnesium, which can cause GI side effects at therapeutic doses.
How long does one jar last?
A single jar typically lasts 30 nights with regular use — roughly the same as a one-month supply of a comparable sleep aid.
Does it contain melatonin?
No. Solinia is melatonin-free and relies on magnesium chloride, shea butter, and lavender essential oil for its calming effect.
Will it make me feel groggy in the morning?
No morning fog. Because Solinia doesn’t use sedatives or melatonin, customers consistently report waking up feeling refreshed.

Recently started using this during my half marathon training and applied it after my first long run - I felt a difference the next day with less soreness. It absorbs well and doesn’t feel greasy. Excited to keep using this as part of my recovery routine!

I’ve tried a couple of magnesium creams in this one is definitely my favorite. The texture is thick, which I love, it feels really rich, but it’s not greasy. It seems to absorb right away and leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated. I love using it at night.

This product has helped my husbands running legs at night so much! He was taking magnesium supplements at night but that didn’t stop it all together. The Solinia Magnesium Sleep Cream soothed and calmed his muscles so well! Bonus points for the lavender scent smelling so nice! Definitely would repurchase!

The smell. The consistency. Everything is perfect! I didn't expect that. Thank you.

I’ve always been a lover of lavender and when I saw this magnesium sleep cream from Solia I immediately knew I needed to try it because it has lavender. As soon as I open the seal, I smell the lavender fill the air. The smell is pretty strong so a small amount definitely covers a good amount of area on the body. The texture surprised me. It is smooth, absorbs well, and doesn’t leave the greasy feeling that some creams do. The scent is soft and calming, just enough to relax you without being overwhelming. I use this cream at bedtime and I definitely can honestly tell you I feel relaxed within minutes. What I really notice is how quickly it says it into the skin. I use a small amount on my arms and legs and within minutes it feels really comfortable and soothing. The magnesium gives it a light warming feel that helps my body loosen up before sleep. I also put a little bit behind my neck where there’s lots of attention and I must say I can literally feel the tingles in my neck as I relax. Sleeping these nights was very comfortable and I didn't wake up with any residue or irritation. If you’re like me and you just need a little bit help to relax your body and settle you down before bedtime. I would definitely recommend giving this magnesium cream a try.

This little 4‑ounce jar turned out to be a pleasant evening companion. The lavender scent is light and calming, exactly what I want before winding down at night. It’s reassuring to see ingredients like aloe vera, shea butter, and vitamin E in the mix, which add to its nourishing feel. The cream itself has a rich, creamy consistency. It does take a bit of time to absorb into the skin, but that hasn’t been a dealbreaker for me. I’ve found that applying it right after a shower to my neck, hands, and legs works best. The label calls it a magnesium sleep cream, though I can’t say it has changed my sleep since I already keep a regular schedule. What I can confirm is that the lavender scent creates a calming atmosphere and the formula leaves my skin feeling moisturized. Another plus is that the fragrance isn’t overpowering. I’m not a fan of strong scents, so the subtle lavender is just right. Overall, this cream feels like a thoughtful addition to a nightly routine, offering both relaxation and hydration.

This lavender magnesium sleep cream i must say really has a beautiful lavender sent to it as it is easy to apply and feels just like putting regular lotion on. I’m no expert on this kind of stuff but I do find stuff like this worth giving a good rating as I just started to use this so it is to early to tell on all all this is exactly going for me. With that being said I hope this review was helpful thank you have a great day or night.

Smooth, non-greasy lotion that absorbs well and has a light, relaxing lavender scent. Feels soothing on the skin and works nicely as part of an evening routine. Made in the USA and a good option if you prefer magnesium in lotion form rather than sprays.

The smell is really nice. I make homemade candles with pure lavender essential oil, the smell is very close to that. It's doesn't smell like artificial or something. It's not overpowering either. Just well balanced smell. It's also absorbing fast and don't leave a greasy residue. I also really like that it's not tested on animals!

I got three of these, apparently from three different listings, and while I've come to like this brand this is a bit of a red flag, because each one that arrived, while being lavender, have all had different labels/serials. One was Lavender, one was labeled as ‘Lilac’ and the other as "Wisteria”, which is a bit off putting. That being said, the lotion is still great, it has a very strong scent, rubs in cleanly without much of, if any, oily residue, while still being a good moisturiser. It’s been an absolute pleasure to use, and while I can’t personally say how effective it is at helping you sleep (I already have a sleep aid before this), I can say it is a great lotion none the less.

I can have allergic reactions to strong scents so when I opened this 4-ounce jar of Solia Magnesium lotion I was pleasantly surprised that the lavender scent was not overpowering. The cream is rich, thick and I love the combination of aloe vera, shea butter and Vitamin E in the mix. I was amazed how quickly it absorbs into my skin. It doesn't leave a greasy feel but definitely moisturizes my skin. I rub it in to the bottoms of my feet and my hands as well as around my neck. It does seem to help release any tension and relax my muscles. I have a sleep disorder and though I have not noticed any significant difference in my sleep, this magnesium cream has become a really wonderful part of my wind down time before bed. It is comforting and relaxing. Even though it is only a 4 ounce jar, a little cream goes a long way. I've been using it for well over a month and it is still half full.

I'm thoroughly impressed by this lotion. Does it help me sleep better? No, not particularly. But the lotion itself is incredibly silky and glides across the skin. It feels fantastic. It's feels like a high quality cream, and does a great job of moisturizing. And the SMELL?? I LOOOVE IT! It literally smells like you just watched into a high-end spa. I've been trying to track down this scent for so looong. So that alone makes it worth it. Apparently this lotion is supposed to help with releasing tension. Personally I haven't really noticed any difference, but I mainly use this just for moisturizing purposes. Overall it's great, I adore it. I can highly recommend it.

I am familiar with magnesium creams and use them regularly, so I have something to compare them with. This product fully matches the description and aligns with the expectations typical for magnesium items used in an evening routine. Its lavender scent is soft and not overpowering, making it suitable for a calming nighttime ritual. The smooth texture applies easily, absorbs well, and does not leave a sticky residue. As for the formulation, it includes natural oils such as safflower, shea, and grape seed, a functional form of magnesium, plus aloe and vitamin E, while avoiding SLS, phthalates, and parabens. Considering the ingredient quality and overall presentation, it is a good option for anyone who uses magnesium creams in their nighttime skincare.

Comes in nice packaging and feels like a good-quality cream. It absorbs into the skin quite quickly and doesn’t feel oily or sticky after application. It works reasonably well as a basic moisturizer, especially for dry skin. However, the lavender scent wasn’t very pleasant for us. It doesn’t smell like the typical lavender fragrance I’m familiar with. Both my mother (who I bought it for) and I didn’t really like the smell. As for the sleep benefits, it’s hard to say whether it actually helps. We didn’t notice any clear improvement in sleep, though that may vary from person to person. It works fine as a moisturizing cream, but the scent and the claimed sleep benefits didn’t really stand out for us.

This was my first time trying a magnesium lotion, as I usually take pills, and I was pleasantly surprised. The texture is smooth and absorbs well without leaving a greasy feel. The lavender scent is gentle and calming—great for winding down in the evening. It feels soothing on the skin, especially after a shower. I can’t speak to any deeper effects yet, but as a topical lotion, it’s a nice addition to my routine.

This is a really good formula for a lavender aromatherapy lotion. Lavender has proven calming and relaxing properties that help with sleep. Magnesium, on the other hand does not really absorb through the skin. “Topical magnesium does not significantly increase blood magnesium levels in most studies.” So, if you’re looking to take this for a magnesium supplement, it may not be the best choice. The relaxation effects likely come from the lavender aromatherapy, the massage when applying and the placebo effect. This is actually a pretty good topical magnesium cream formula — simple, not overloaded with irritants, with a clean preservative system and soothing ingredients. The ingredients includes safflower seed oil, shea butter, aloe, lavender essential oils, etc. I found it to be a very moisturizing. A good, thick moisturizer. It’s perfect for applying to feet or anywhere you would like to before bed. I have attached pictures of all sides of the container, including the full list of ingredients. Hope it helps!

It's hard to say if this helps with sleep. I tried it 2 nights in a row with no ovservable benefit or effect. Pros: Smooth and creamy lotion. Absorbs quickly. Not sticky or oily - it disappears into the skin. Cons: Does not smell like lavendar The sleep claim is debatable. I will use it on my feet to moisturize chapped soles.
